Bracelet size – how to choose the right one

When selecting a bracelet size whether for yourself, partner or friend, you need to consider both comfort and security.    It needs to be sufficiently long to move freely, plus be able to be done up and released, but firm enough that it doesn’t slip over the hand.

Bracelet size

Standard sizes are:

Children:

  • Newborn (3mths) – 10cm
  • Infant (3-9 mths) – 11.5cm
  • Infant (9-24mths) – 12.5cm
  • Toddler (2 – 5 yrs) – 14cm
  • Child (5 – 7 years) – 15cm
  • Child (8 – 10) – 16.5cm

Adult

  • Small – 17cm
  • Average – 18cm
  • Large – 19cm
  • Extra Large 21cm.

As a general rule regardless of whether the bracelet is a precious or semi precious metal, leather, or other material, if you measure around the wrist and add 3 cm’s (approximately 1 inch), the bracelet will be able to move freely, but not be too big that it may slip off.
